Claude for Startups is Anthropic's startup program designed to help early-stage companies build, ship and scale products using Claude.

The program provides eligible startups with access to Claude credits and priority API rate limits, allowing founders and technical teams to develop and scale AI-powered products with Claude while reducing early infrastructure and model-usage costs.

Beyond credits, the program connects founders with the broader Claude startup community through hackathons, Founder Days, meetups, livestreams, AMAs and other events. Participants can also stay informed about new Claude model releases and startup-specific program benefits.

Startups can use Claude through products and developer tools including the Claude API, Claude Code, Claude Managed Agents and Claude Cowork.

Eligibility & requirements

  • Be an early-stage startup
  • Be building with Claude
  • Have received equity funding from an institutional investor
  • Have been founded within the last four years
  • Have not previously received Anthropic startup credits
  • Have a Claude Console account
  • Have a company email address
  • Have a company website
  • Provide a short description of what the company is building

    Important
    VC funding is not required simply to apply to the program. However, the current eligibility criteria for receiving Claude credits and extras require institutional equity funding. Startups backed by an Anthropic partner VC or accelerator may qualify for additional benefits.

  • Enter your company information.
  • Provide your company email and website.
  • Describe what your startup is building.
  • Provide investor information if applicable.
  • Submit the application.
  • Anthropic reviews the application.
  • Accepted startups receive the applicable credits and priority rate limits.
