What's the hardest part of freelancing pricing or clients?

Genuinely curious about this one. When I started freelancing, pricing was my biggest confusion. Charge too little and it feels like undervaluing yourself, charge too much and the client disappears.

After some experience though, I realized the real problem was never pricing it was working with the wrong clients. With the right client, price is rarely the issue.

Curious what this community thinks:

  • What do you struggle with the most pricing, client communication, or deadlines?
  • Any lesson from your first freelance client that you still follow today?
  • When a payment gets delayed, do you follow up persistently or just let it go?

Not looking for generic tips here genuinely want to know how people actually deal with this stuff in real life.
