I Unlocked Notion Plus for ₹0 With Just My College Email

I'm a college student, and one of the most useful things I've set up this year didn't cost me anything. Notion gives its Plus plan free to students, and all you need is your college email ID.

I came across it while looking for a better way to manage my notes and assignments. Now almost everything for college lives in one place. The free Plus plan gives you unlimited pages and blocks and unlimited file uploads for your PDFs, slides and notes. It also comes with 30-day version history, so you can recover anything you delete by mistake. On top of that, once you're on the Education plan, you get 50% off the Notion AI add-on for your first 12 months.

I keep one page for each subject with my lecture notes and reading links. I also have an assignment tracker with all my deadlines, so nothing slips, and an exam planner that maps every topic to a date. For group projects, we work on shared pages, so nobody has to ask "where's the file?" in the group chat anymore.

Claiming it takes just a few minutes. Sign up or log in to Notion with your college email, not your personal Gmail. Then go to Settings, open Upgrade plan and choose the free Education plan.

There are a few things to keep in mind. You need to be enrolled at an accredited college or university, and the offer is for personal, single-member accounts. It stays free as long as you're a student. If you run a student club, Notion has a separate free plan for student organisations. And if you already use the GitHub Student Developer Pack, you can get Notion Plus through that too.

Honestly, I wish someone had told me about this in my first year, so I'm sharing it here. If you're a student, try it this week, and tag a friend who still keeps notes across five different apps.

What do you use to stay organised in college?
