Finding the right developer

If you have an idea, finding a developer is not the hard part.
Finding the right developer is.
I've seen founders spend weeks interviewing people, only to realize later that technical skills were never the problem.
Before hiring anyone:
✅ Look at projects they've built
✅ Check their GitHub activity
✅ Ask how they would approach your idea
✅ Start with a small paid task first
Some useful places to find developers:
- GitHub — https://github.com
- LinkedIn — https://www.linkedin.com
- Stack Overflow Jobs — https://stackoverflow.com/jobs
- Indie Hackers — https://www.indiehackers.com
- Wellfound (Startups) — https://wellfound.com
One thing I've learned:
A good developer doesn't just write code.
They ask questions, challenge assumptions, and help improve the product.
That's usually a better sign than an impressive resume.
This is more useful because founders can immediately visit the resources and take action.
