Want to Learn n8n? Start With These Resources
The Resources That Helped Me Learn n8n
I’ve been learning n8n recently, and one thing I realized pretty quickly is that watching random short tutorials can make automation look easier than it actually is.
What helped me more was finding a few resources that I could actually follow and practice alongside.
The biggest one for me was Nate Herk’s “Build & Sell n8n AI Agents” course. It’s a long-form course, but that’s exactly why I found it useful. It goes through the fundamentals of n8n and gradually gets into APIs, HTTP requests, AI agents, memory, RAG, webhooks, and building practical automation workflows.

When I get stuck on a specific node or feature, I use the official n8n documentation instead of trying to guess how something works.

Another resource I found really useful is the n8n Workflow Templates library. Instead of starting every automation from a blank canvas, I can look at existing workflows and understand how different nodes, APIs, and tools are being connected.

The biggest lesson for me has been that learning n8n isn't about memorizing hundreds of nodes.
It’s about understanding the logic behind a workflow:
Once that started making sense, automation became much easier to understand.
I’m still learning and building, but these are the resources I keep coming back to while learning n8n.
If you're starting with n8n too, save these resources. They can give you a much better starting point than jumping between random tutorials.
