Is this idea really useful in a pratical scenario?

I'm a Class 11th student exploring an AI tool for CBSE students. I'm currently finding whether handwritten-question input is actually a problem worth solving.

Im trying to build a website where students and upload a photo of their copy for asking doubts ( I know this idea exists already but im trying to make it more simpler rather than flooding the users with ads). to achieve this im trying to use open multimodal model and adding a few extra conditions. like messages from the website asking the user to send a clearer photo if the model isn't able to clearly differentiate it due to bad photo quality or whatever the reasons might be.

I'd really appreciate feedback from anyone who's built an education product or worked with student users.

I think students would find this useful, especially for quickly asking doubts without typing everything.

This is a practical idea because typing handwritten doubts is time-consuming. If the AI can accurately read handwriting, diagrams, and equations, I think students would find it genuinely useful.

If you're a student, I'd especially like to hear from you: 👉 Have you ever taken a photo of a handwritten question to get an AI explanation? 👉 What was frustrating about the experience? 👉 Would you actually use a simple, ad-free tool specifically for this?

And if you've built an EdTech product, what's one thing you wish you'd validated before writing the first line of code?

Please be brutally honest—even if you think this idea isn't worth building. I'm looking for real feedback, not validat
