The EU has ordered Google to open Android and share more Search data with rival AI companies under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). This means AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others could eventually get deeper access to Android features—giving users more choice beyond Gemini. Google, however, argues the move could impact privacy and security.

💭 Question:

Will this create a more competitive AI ecosystem, or introduce new privacy risks?
