Don’t Just Summarize. Research With NotebookLM.

The biggest mistake after learning these techniques is trying to use all of them at once.
I’d turn NotebookLM into a repeatable research workflow instead.
First, create an index of your sources and break the research into individual topics.
Then take one topic at a time and go deep.
Ask NotebookLM to pull information from all relevant sources, connect related ideas, identify important evidence, and point out gaps or contradictions.
Once you have that, don’t stop at the research.
Turn the information into something useful - checklist, framework, content outline, presentation, research brief, or action plan.
That’s where NotebookLM becomes much more powerful.
You’re no longer just asking AI to summarize information.
You’re using it to structure → investigate → connect → apply knowledge.
And one thing I’ve realised while experimenting with AI research: your sources still matter more than having the “perfect” prompt.
Good sources + a structured workflow can take you much further than a clever prompt alone.
What’s one NotebookLM workflow you use regularly?
