Airbound Aerospace: Reimagining the Future of Drone Delivery

Airbound Aerospace Private Limited is an ambitious Bengaluru-based aerospace startup working to change how goods move through the air. Founded by Naman Pushp and Faraaz Baig, the company is building autonomous delivery aircraft designed to make logistics faster, more affordable, and less dependent on traditional infrastructure.
Airbound’s vision goes beyond simply developing drones. The company wants to make logistics almost invisible by building the hardware, software, and operational systems needed for reliable delivery across cities, villages, and hard-to-reach locations. Its focus is particularly relevant to sectors such as healthcare, e-commerce, and logistics, where faster delivery can have a direct impact.
At the heart of Airbound’s technology is its blended-wing-body tailsitter aircraft. The aircraft can take off vertically like a rocket and then transition into efficient horizontal flight like an airplane. This design removes the need for runways and extensive ground infrastructure. Airbound says its TRT aircraft has an approximate 1 kg payload capacity, 40 km range, and 60 km/h cruise speed, while its carbon-fiber construction is designed to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
The founders are central to this engineering-first approach. Naman Pushp, co-founder and CEO, is known for his hands-on interest in robotics, aircraft design, and hardware engineering from a young age. Faraaz Baig, Airbound’s co-founder, brings entrepreneurial and technology experience to the company. Their combined focus reflects Airbound’s broader philosophy: solve difficult physical problems through engineering rather than simply adding another layer of software.
What makes Airbound particularly interesting is its ambition to rethink the economics of last-mile delivery. Instead of moving heavy vehicles and people to transport small packages, the company is attempting to create lightweight, efficient aircraft that can operate with minimal infrastructure.
Airbound is not simply building delivery drones: it is attempting to build a new model for aerial logistics engineered in India and designed for a much more connected world.
