About

The Commonwealth Master's Scholarship helps talented students from Commonwealth countries, including India, study a master's degree in the UK. It covers tuition, travel and living costs, so it is for strong candidates who could not afford UK study on their own. The 2027/28 cycle is open now. Selected scholars start their course in September 2027.

Eligibility & requirements

  • Indian citizen (or refugee status) living permanently in India
  • First degree at upper second-class (2:1) honours level or equivalent
  • Unable to afford UK study without this support
  • Available to start the course in September 2027

How to apply

  1. Read the full details on the official CSC page.
  2. Apply through India's national nominating agency. The CSC does not accept direct applications.
  3. Complete your application on CSC Central before 20 October 2026, 8:30 PM IST.
  4. Nominated candidates are sent to the CSC by December 2026. Results come by July 2027.
